Thomas's Story
Life
After I left Okinawa I moved back to North Carolina and went to East Carolina U. I graduated with a teaching degree, but I never taught. I went into retail and after about 5 years, had enough of that! A good friend of mine (Derwynn Dominguez) really helped me work through that and I took a huge risk and tried something completly different, financial planning. I started with American Express and then moved to Wachovia the day before 9/11. The past 7 years of my life have been so awesome. In 6 years at Wachovia I have made Senior Vice President and I am currently the Retail Banking Director for Eastern North Carolina! I have a wonderful family, Michelle(10 years) my wife, 7 year old twins Kirsten and Haley, abd my stepson Tyler. We currently live on the North Carolina coast in Wilmington!

en two schools, West Carteret HS in Morehead City my Freshman and Sophmore years, and Kubasaki HS Junior and Senior years. I have much fonder memories of Okinawa because of all the freinds I had there. I think that was due in large part because it was such a close school. Only having 140 kids in a class makes it hard not to know everyone. Of my best memory, I would have to split it between two days. One was senior skip day when I drove Gabe's mom's Van up to the EXPO park. I think that was Gabe (of course), Barb, Disa, Midori, Mauri, Keary. The other was a soccer game. I played JV Soccer on the Samari and we palyed the Varsity team in a scrimage. I just remember how wet it was. It rained the entire game and I rememeber the mud being around my ankles. That was the best game! We tied 1:1. I have a million other great memories of that place!
