Life After graduating high school in 1984, I enlisted in the U.S. Army for three years. After spending the first year training as a Combat Engineer and Atomic Demolition Specialist, I was assigned to Germany for the last two years of my enlistment. I left the active Army to attend college full-time but also transfered to an Indiana National Guard unit in Valparaiso, In. for the next four years. During the next four years I earned a bacholer's degree in Accounting from Indiana University Northwest. While going to school, I also worked an accounting internship at US Steel until graduation. After college, I was hired by NIPSCO in Merrillville and worked there for seven years in various finance positions. After being in the workforce for awhile, I went back to graduate school and earned an MBA from the Univ. of Louisville. Today, I live in Louisville, KY and have for the past nine years.
