Thomas's Story
After high school, since I wasn't really college material and didn't have any marketable skills, I joined the Marine Corps and got out of Dodge. Years later, after a failed marriage and frustrating jobs, I actually went to college; I finally woke up. I truly enjoyed this experience. tials in 1996 and then my greatest accomplishment was my BA in Mathematics and my Single Subject Teaching Credentials in 2004. I worked nights for the Postal Service as a Maintenance Supervisor and taught math during the day; life was good. :) I retired from the Post Office in 2005 and from teaching 2009; but I still substitute and do math tutoring on the side to keep the brain active.
