Thomas's Story
After graduating from HHS, I enlisted in the Marine Corp with Stanley Whipland and Bernie Kennedy. When I completed my tour of duty, I came back to Hawthorne and took over my father's barber shop until 1984. I then relocated my business to Pompton Lakes, where I owned and operated Tom's Barber Shop until I retired. I am married and have been living in Pompton Lakes for 36 years. some of my old friends because the barber shop is a great gathering place.
Life has changed so much since high school. And, so have I. Both of my parents are gone now and some of my very good friends. But, I have made some new friends along the way and have strengthened some old friendships. I've learned alot, gained alot and took some pretty big hits. But, it all makes me the person I am today. I'm looking forward to hearing from former classmates.
