I am a native from Tarpon Springs and moved to Saint Petersburg, Florida in 1959. My schools include Dixie Hollins High School and later attended St. Petersburg College (Business Administration). Following graduation, I began my professional youth service career as a program director for the Pinellas Park Boys Club and was very active in the Boys Club activities over several years. In 1973, I served as a community center director in Pinellas Park, FL as well as a part-time Special Education PE teacher for Morning Star School during 1973-77. In 1977, I became the Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs in Charlotte, NC, operating 3 unit clubs.
