Tom's Story
Life
My life has been very fulfilling...I am married to a beautiful woman who has given me three wonderful children (Brandon,Megan and Grant). I work in a profession and a job that I truly enjoy and that challenges me (Emergency Medicine Physician) as well as working with doctors in training (medical students, interns and residents) as an Associate Program Director for an Emergency Medicine Residency Program here in Chicago. My family and I now live in our dream home (that we had built in 2006) in Orland Park, Illinois.
It seems like such a long time ago that I dropped out of Columbia High School (after 11th grade) and then got my GED (Good Enough Diploma as Chris Rock calls it) and after several years of workin...Expand for more
g odd jobs and finally working for AT&T doing computer tech support - going back to school at Kean University (College of NJ back in 1986).
This thing called life has handed me many twists, and turns and one of the greatest gifts that I ever received was sobriety - back on May 5, 1994 - I began on my road to recovery from alcohol and the past 13 years have been the absolute best of my life and I have received many, many gifts and feel truly blessed. I enjoy catching up with people that I used to know from CHS on this website and getting in touch with them, even if its just for a simple exchange of "What's been going on?".
I look forward to running into others that I have known in the earlier part of my journey.
