Thomas's Story

Life Hello to Friends old and new, Those that remember me probably do so as an authoritative controversial type, that is--standin’ up against "the man." I’m happy to say that I haven't changed; accept now I am more involved with changing the system instead of just fighting it--although fighting I am sorry to say is still required at times--by running for elected office: Mayor of Anchorage,Green Party US Senate-Alaska, Anchorage City Assembly, US House of Representative, Mayor of Anchorage again, and 2006 Alaska State House. VoteThomas.com I am living in Anchorage, Alaska these days. I moved to Alaska in 1994 and have only been "outside" five times for a total of about a two months. Outside is Alaskan talk for going out of state. Oh by the way Hawaii is a suburb of Alaska. The "forty-eight" is more Alaskan talk, this term means--you guessed it--the USA not including Alaska or Hawaii. Sorry I couldn't make make it for the 25th reunion in Miller, South Dakota. I was last in Miller in August of 2004, it was for a surprise party for my mother Faith. I was in the neighborhood on my way back from the Democratic National Convention in Boston in the summer of 2004. That is where my then photo came from. I was also back to Minnesota for my sisters Dianne wedding in Oct. 05. I have none some writing for the Anchorage Press, including an interview with Rn’R’s God of Guitars and guns, T...Expand for more
ed Nugent. But I also took on the US Armed services and their non-sense policy that prevents the consumption of hemp products. Presently I work in the theater world of Anchorage, but due to little work I am thing of moving outside soon. Update here I now work at Out North Theater check it out, outnorth.org I also make movies, Checkout BobsShorts com And at this moment I am hungry. Update 2006 I am still hungry. FYI--in the "now" profile photo I am the one on the left. I was on the left my photo went away!!! I onder what happen? Workplace I worked 40 hours a week in high school. After going to tech school no one wanted me because I did not have experience, catch-22. I worked at a lot of jobs. Some I liked; some sucked and done of them had the balance I needed to make working there a real long term possiblity. The balance of enjoyable work and avancement possiblity. I just can't seem to work for a weekend, I need a job I enjoy, but I also need good pay and advancement too. I don't feel that is asking for too much. Parts store- fast paced fun but boss was a jerk. Dish washer- at a ski resort, great perks no advancement Camp worker- that's doing everything from cook to beds to toilets- great location Katmia National Park- summer gig and no advancement. Theater- great job, great fun get to see lots of shows, - but hours are insane and the work is feast or famine.
