Thomas's Story
Life
Spent 30 years (1969-1999) with the military (Air Force) in various positions and assignments...was fortunate enough to have been many places all over the world and done many things over the years...retired in 1999 at age 47, and no desire to ever become "employed" again, lol ...but after retirement, did go work driving 18 wheelers for a couple years and seeing America in a new way, and then worked for a couple years as a director at a large assisted living residential center for the elderly in Florida ..also was fortunate enough to go back to school and further my education while in the military.....Divorced in 1979 after just 3 years of marriage and never remarried again..2 grown married sons, whom I raised by myself and still live in Chicopee area with my 3 grandkids.. good retirements and income, and financially secure with some investments and also owning a few homes...for past 15 years, living on Southwest coast of Florida (Punta Gorda/Port Charlotte/Venice area) in the winters and loving it, while also keeping another home back in Westfield Mass for the summers...yeah doing the snowbird thing (New England and Florida both have some great but different things to offer)...hanging out in ...Expand for more
the Gulf of Mexico or riding through the New England mountains is about as good as it gets anyplace... like to golf, fish, boating, snorkel, softball, basketball, motorcycles, swim, travel putz around the yard and have a few brews or margarita's next to the pool or just hanging by the waters someplace, especially down in the Florida Keys (Key Largo, Islamorada, Key West) for a month or so in the winters...my #2 son who is E8 (SMsgt) in military and ready to retire now himself, owns TD's Sports bar formerly the Royal cafe in Aldenville, and the old Jesters/Bo's Lounge in Willimansett that he renamed 733 Bar and Grille, so I may see some ole HS friends in there on ocassion, whenever I happen to pop in....will always love pretty women, great music, outdoors, good people, and good times..I enjoy and appreciate the simple things in life but I like my big boy toys (boats, bikes, etc), with a lil travel and adventure thrown in ocassionally, along with being blessed with fairly good health so far..had a bout with cancer and heart issue 3 years ago (2012) and back surgery last year (2014) but all is great now and back to trying to do some working out daily, TY Lord and St Jude...life has been good to me!
