Thomas's Story
I would hope old friends would remember me as a good guy; someone they could count on.
I always wanted to be a test pilot for the USAF when I grew up. I really never shared that with my family and friends at the time; however, if they knew, my family would have thought that was a crazy idea but would support me none the less. As it turns out, my eye sight was not good enough and my dream was gone. As it turns out, I think I should have joined the USAF anyways.
When I want to blow off steam, I like to go scuba diving, go the beach, and before my accident... I would love to get on my motorcycle and ride.
I never really did anything "wild" in school... just partied a little before homeroom in my junior year.
If I am going to work somewhere, I need to have a computer, Internet connection, and Red Bull to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
I do not have a hero... not into hero worship. As for my inspiration, that comes from my son, Bryan, he makes my life worthwhi...Expand for more

Shortly after high school, I moved to Dallas, TX to work for Texas Instruments (TI) as an Electronics Engineering Technician on the HARM missile project. While working at TI I gained skills as a software engineer and network administrator. In 1987, I took those skills to my next job in Tucson, AZ, at a company called, ManTech. The company was a recent start-up and I was excited about the opportunity. I only stayed with ManTech for about a year because our biggest customer, IBM, decided to close their doors in Tucson, and our company had difficulty sustaining the workforce. Sadly, I was left to find other work. While, I enjoyed Arizona very much, I could not find work at the same level of pay, so I went back to Dallas where I still had a house and worked at TI for a couple of years. In 1991, I left TI for the last time and went to work for a company called, VeriFone, which had offices in North Dallas. I worked in the Information Technology (IT) department and
