Thomas's Story
It's been a convoluted journey, to say the least. I am doing partly what I set out to do. After Miraleste, I went on to Harbor J.C., then CSULB where I got my BFA in Illustration.
Immediately after college, I took the jobs I needed to take to pay rent, including construction, two years in Aerospace, part-time gigs (like the time I had to disassemble conveyor belts passing through narrow corridors in a meat packing plant) and magazine production. effects and concept design for feature films, and occasionally, actually do some matte paintings. Mostly freelance, so the pace and consistency can vary greatly.
I still hope to travel when possible. For the present, I am just taking short local trips. until I can get back overseas.
After many years shooting film, I have finally taken the plunge into shooting with a digital SLR. Nothing fancy, but gets the job done. I plan local trips around taking pictures.
