I'm enjoying life and looking forward to many more years. I was married for 7 years, had 2 children, divorced, remarried this time for 32 years. Kids are grown, married, 1 granddaughter, 2 grandsons, lots of godchildren & grand godchildren. We love to travel North America, especially the Rockies (top to bottom). In 2005 I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, went through chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. Then in 2016 I was diagnosed with stage 1 oral cancer in my cheek requiring surgery & radiation. As of today, I'm cancer free and a survivor twice! My outlook on life has always been good but after going through the cancer adventures my priorities have certainly shifted. The little things aren't so big anymore - just happy to wake up each morning and enjoy whatever comes by my way. We both volunteered with a local cancer support organization which was a wonderful experience. May never retire but thoroughly enjoy my career so I don't mind working. I work at The University of North Carolina General Alumni Association and get to be creative & productive in my daily activies. Always a challenge, always fullfilling.
