Thomas's Story
While at Oberlin HS, I played violin in the orchestra, catcher/pitcher baseball, and bench warmer football when not being used as a tackling dummy. Though I was offered a chance to play baseball with the #4 team in college, I stuck with my violin and have made music my career.
I'm currently Director of Orchestras at
The Woodlands HS in The Woodlands, Texas.
(The Woodlands is 40 miles NW of Houston on I-45.)
We have performed in LA, Dallas, San Antonio,
New Orleans, and at Disney World. Next year we
hope to be at the Lincoln Center in NY.
I also perform regularly with several orchestras in the Houston area.

I have taught math in Texas on the border town of Hidalgo by Reynosa, Mexico. We lived (1982 -1990) in McAllen, TX. which is 10 miles from Mexico. As a result, I've become fairly fluent in Spanish. I continued to play the violin by traveling to the Corpus Christi Symphony which led us to move there. (1990 - 2000) Now, we have been in The Woodlands since August 2000.
My wife, Deb, is an Ohio girl that I met at Ohio University. We have been married 34 years since graduation in 1974 and have 3 "children" (19, 29, 31) Deb is a school teacher, so we spend vacations together traveling or just relaxing at home.
