Life
Presently VP/Corporate Director of Engineering of Buckley Radio, headquartered at radio station WOR in New York City. Living in the Beaver Dam Lake area of New Windsor, NY, near Newburgh. Have two kids...Tom IV (24, and working in video production at the Office of Radio & Television for the Archdiocese of Hartford!) and Sarah (17, about to graduate in the upper 5% of her class [with a GPA of 4.0] and heading to Veterinary school). Married to Susan Long (Hall High). Spend most of my time with the kids, puttering around the house, and attempting to keep on top of things with one monster radio station, a national radio network, and an internet radio station. Engineering supervision of the 5 Buckley stations in Hartford and 11 stations in California. I'm also active in several broadcast industry associations, and am secretary of my local Ham Radio club (W2TRR), own the club 2 meter repeater (KD2ANX), own my own 220 band repeater, and am President of UNYREPCO, the ham radio frequency coordination organization for New York State. I've published a book with Focal Press, "HD Radio Implementation", and was featured on the cover of Radio Ink Magazine. Spare time is something that is in rare supply these days. We don't spend much time in Connecticut any more, unless we visit the inlaws. My father passed away in March, 2007, and my mother passed away in January 2009.
