Thomas's Story

Life Left Grosse Pointe Woods Michigan in 1961. Moved to Arcadia California. Attended Army Navy Academy in Calrsbad, Ca. Spent a year at Prescott College. November 1967 I entered the Air Force, earned an AS degree in Police Science and retired 31 July 1990. In 1970 I God blessed me with a beautiful, loving, wife and in 1978 He blessed us with a lovely, intelligent daughter. Living in Lynn Haven, FL. and am retired now. Owned a bar for a while, did income taxes and worked security. Do some acting in the local theater. Had a heart attack, open heart surgery to replace a leaky valve and single bypass March 2007. As far as my friends go, they would probably remember me as the nice guy with the short hair and looked like a Q-Ball. At times I was the life of the party and sometimes I was the guy they could just talk to and trust me to keep things to myself. People who I sup...Expand for more
ervised while in the military would say I was the SOB that would hold them responsible for their actions and yet would stand up for them when needed. I was the guy that would say "Have a great day." and when people ask me how I am doing, I tell them "Great and blessed." Every day is a blessed and great day. Now some days are greater than others, but they are all great cause I am alive. Each day is a gift. Some are Lotto winners and some are like aunt May's knit sweater that doesn't fit, one arm is longer than the other, but it isn't the gift, it is the love that was put into it that matters. I hope people will remember me as someone who brought a smile or a laugh to them when they were having a bad day. Someone they could come to to just talk out a problem or relax with. I also hope that they remember me as a person who was not without faults and would forgive me for them.

The other day a couple of friends and I were talking about the picture of the ear and the little story with it and it went like this:
Tom: Ever notice that the word mouth has OUT in the middle of it. That is where all the
Dogs attack a vicious gator. Gator doesn't have a chance here. Forgive me PETA.
