Tiffany's Story
Life
Hey y'all
I've been all over since graduation - DC, Seattle, Augusta GA, Korea, Tulsa OK, Austin TX, Coudersport PA, Colorado Springs CO, and now Littleton, CO.
Drop me a line any time!
School
I changed schools so many times when I was in grade school... but from 6th grade on I was at Hafley, then EU. Being the bookworm that I was [lol - AM], I never hated any of my teachers, save for a certain sophomore Geometry teacher. My FAVORITE teachers were Mr. Long and Mrs. Tharp - neither ever treated me like an angst-ridden teenager, and I think Larry knew more about my love life [or lack thereof] than my mother did at the time! :) Madame Johnson is high on my list of favorite teachers, too. If it weren't for her four years of French class [granted the first year was Mr. Hardcastle, another fave], traveling to Paris as often as I do would not be nearly as easy as it is. I was on the fringes of so many groups that I think I got much more out of HS than someone who belonged to one clique....I got to be in on band, drama, debate, sports, academics, etc etc. I was still pretty much a goody-two-shoes, and thank god I've grown out of that :)
College
Unfortunately, I only spent one year at GW. Most of my memories center around my job and the people I met thru the Dance Dept - Dana Tai Soon Burgess, Theresa, Aaryn, creating my own dance company. Of course I had some crazy roommates - Alicia, Jen, and Miss Turnbull. Monument hopping at 2am brings back vivid m...Expand for more
emories. Snowball fights in front of the dorm, Presidential motorcades going thru campus...Chris Lily, Josh whose last name eludes me at the moment. Winter Ball and the PERFECT DRESS. Skipping Bio repeatedly because it was at 8 am and we ALL know I am not a morning person....Domino's pizza for damn near every meal, all nighters, and how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? My next door neighbors in the dorm...Matt, Adrian, Hash. Cute RA John. 90210 with RA Tracy.
Then home and to Delta for 2.5 - 3 years. Cooper in my Sculpture class. Dance classes for hours on end, leading class, rehearsals. But my favorite memory from college?
Rediscovering a friend and our trips to Trader Joe's, LA, Toad the Wet Sprocket and Yes concerts
Military
My best memories are the people I met and still talk to, and just surviving basic training. I never thought I would make it all the way through. It teaches you a lot about yourself. But things I remember best - the smell of gunpowder at the range and how it always gave me chills, constantly being in the field in Korea, getting zapped by the TMIF on a weekend exercise with a Guard unit, "bump the TED", " 6'2" and worth the climb ," all of the guys on our floor in the barracks using my [mine and Ange's] room to watch porn. Shopping at WalMart after leaving Player's in the wee hours with Ange, "Chicken heart", Ned/Emmitt/Alex, Kevin, Tybee Island, Discotheque, Drill Sgt Rory, and getting out.
