Tim's Story

Have been married thirty-nine years to the greatest woman on the face of the earth. Have four "grown" children who fortunately take after their mother. Have lived in CA, HI, and now Utah. Doing life coaching using Emotional Freedom Techniques. The serenity prayer says, ". . . accept the things I cannot change, and courage to change the things I can . . ." Sometimes I get that mixed up . . . I believe you can change anything you put your heart and mind into. I recently saw a sign that said, "Live your life. Change the world." I look at my 67 years and wonder have I lived my life well en...Expand for more
ough to have made any changes to the world? Plenty of people have changed mine. Teachers, classmates, friends, wife, kids, family, jobs, businesses, government. I have beaten the life expectancy odds of my mother side of the family. My mom died at 61, at the time she was the oldest living member of her side of the Rivers family. Well I have passed her by 6 years and hope to reach beyond my dad's 84 years. But I have had a quadruple bypass on my heart six years ago. This year I had a pace maker put in and six weeks later a stent. How much longer who I have, who knows? It's up to Him.

Today is the last day for many members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to attend the Salt Lake Temple. There will be many people coming from all over the world to enter this Temple for the last time befor
