Tim's Story
I wonder how people I knew in school are doing, what's happened in their lives. Really hard to believe that we've been out of high school 50 years! Kind of blows your mind! I never had any children.
Right out of high school, I went into the Navy. I was a boiler technician (a BT). Worked down in the hot fireroom. While lots of people on the ship were going ashore on shore leave, we were often still working down in the fireroom. Lots of OT, but no over...Expand for more
time pay. :) They say, join the Navy, see the world. That's true. I really enjoyed seeing many different countries, their culture, how they live. A real eye-opener.
Recently turned 69! Wouldn't mind being 18 again. :) Hard to believe that everyone I knew in HS, be it GHS or LHS (attended them both), are in their mid 60s now!
As of Oct. '25, am still working, still driving the bus. We do have one driver who's 76! So there's no hurry for me to retire.
