Tim's Story

2004....... Hi everyone. Hope life is well for you. I was married 23 years and have two daughters, 33 & 29....Grrrreat kids! One grandson named Jake, and he appears to be smarter than me..........imagine that! I own a business in San Leandro (actually I work for my girls !) ) and am sooo close to retirement I can smell it! I figure if I retire, I can hang around Chuckles at the Village on friday nites and listen to Chuck Berry songs. 2009...... Fast forward to now, & I find myself with 2 grandsons & 1 granddaugher in the oven from my youngest daughter; life is good! I'm as retired as I ever want to be & spend a lot of time south of the border when I'm not coaching football or hanging out at Chuckles with Fred Peters listening to Chuck Berry songs. I hope life is going well for all you CVHS folks & like Freddy always says, "don't start buying any long term investments NOW people!" That Freddy is soooo wacky! 2016........ Full circle! Now that I've retired from everything (City of San Leandro; my business....Bay Area Cabinet Supply; and coaching football......40 years) I mov...Expand for more
ed back to good old Castro Valley 2 or 3 years ago! Boy, our little town has gotten........errr........"progressive" might be one way to describe it. Nevertheless, I've found there's a certain amount of comfort being back in the familiar surroundings of CV (no doubt due to sentimentality in my old age)! My two daughters run the family business so much better than I ever did & I've been so lucky that they've given me 4 grandkids..........boy, boy, girl, boy. They all live in San Ramon so I get to see them whenever I'm in town. If anybody finds themselves passing thru, please "hit me up" (whoa, how's that for being young at heart), I'd love to catch up over lunch or dinner. Coonradt's Variety (spelling?) in the Village is now a terrific Mexican Restaurant & they make some pretty darn good margaritas! I'm not a paying member on Classmates & can't read messages, so the best way to contact me is "caboboy at excite dot com." All for now, it's getting late and I head out of town "temprano en la manana". My best to all, I hope this finds you happy and in good health!

This is my sister and I at her surprise birthday party. The whole family drove up to Reno from the Bay Area pulled off a great surprise, she had no clue!
It's National Daughter's Day, I'm a lucky guy!
This is why we remember....
Good morning from Cabo!
Happy Veteran's Day to all, here's a pic of my Dad's & my bricks at the Veteran's Memorial at the Castro Valley Community Center. I'm proud to have my DD-214 issued in 1965............
I don't generally do a lot of bragging, but I'm going to make me a big 'ol exception here. I was at a family dinner tonight and found out my middle grandson is pulling down all A's and one C+ in his senior year of high sch

It's a cold black friday morning in Castro Valley, 36 degrees at 7 o'clock.
Got the Vette all cleaned up before I put it away for a couple of months.
My dad & I have bricks at the Castro Valley Veteran's Memorial. There are several names of childhood friends who didn't come back from Viet Nam, it was a somber morning for me. ❤
From my friend Patti Trevethan, how true & how sad at the same time.
My Dog is a lover
Once again, Happy Daughter's Day to my babies. I love you girls, and am a lucky Dad!
