ed with a BE/EE from Stonybrook in '81. I joined a little company in Hauppauge called Symbol Technologies, Inc which had 25 emplyees. After a few years I changed to marketing and stayed with Symbol for 16 years. Along the way Symbol moved me out to California just in time to raise the kids out here. Symbol was over $850M in sales when I left to join a start up. This new company was called WiData, but we renamed it WhereNet. I've been here for 10 years as VP of Product Strategy , and last year we sold the company to Zebra Technologies. I do international standards work also, so I end up traveling alot.
