Tim's Story
Life
Life is good. I almost feel like a completely different person than the short, quiet kid who graduated from Bellevue High School. I was a band geek...is that what we were called back then? Anyway, proud of it. Music has added so much to my life. Back then, I was convinced that real life ended at the Bellevue city limits, but it wasn't true. Why didn't someone tell me?
Bellevue was a great place to grow up. It wasn't always easy, but when is growing up easy? Since then, I've been really fortunate to have met many friends along the way who have had a major impact on who I am today. Good friends and family are the foundation for me. I make it a point to surround myself with good people who constantly make me strive to be a better person.
No spouse. No kids. But, I have the world's greatest dog. I know, I know, everybody says that. However, it's true in this case. His name is Mister. That's why I had to finish my doctorate. Mister Hart and Mr. Hart was just too confusing for people.
Any other band geeks out there with fond memories?
College

Kentucky University. Finished my doctorate in curriculum and instruction at the University of Cincinnati.
I have to say that all my college experiences have been great. I've made great friends along the way, and we somehow manage to stay in touch. I always heard that the friends you meet along the way shape your life in ways you never thought possible. Whoever said it was right.
Workplace
Even though I'm the youngest of five, I was the first teacher. I taught at Grant County Middle School for five years, Turkey Foot Middle School for two, and Sycamore High School in Blue Ash for seven. I've been working in the curriculum department for Cincinnati Public Schools for the past three years. My brother Kendall now teaches fifth grade, and my sister Holly now teaches sixth grade. Not sure what it is about Harts and teaching.
What was I thinking when I left the classroom?? I had a total blast with my students. Kids are a riot! No two days were ever the same, and the kids were just goofy enough to make me smile throughout the day. And the grading? That's a different story. Oh yeah, that's why I left the classroom. I'll end up there again one day, though.
