Tim's Story
Hello Everyone. Here¿s the update you asked for:
After High School, went to OIT in Klamath Falls 75-76. Took Diesel Tech.
Mom (Virginia) pasted away in April 76, I left school and took over the Drive-in with Chuck Hill and Teresa.
1st Marriage 76 ¿ 95 Nancy Hazen. We moved to Santa Cruz, Ca. in spring of 77.
That¿s where I stated a career with UPS, November 1980.
I have three wonderful Sons.
The 1st Joshua Lee, his wife Sheila and their two sons, Cooper and Evan.
The 2nd Jeremy James, with three sons, Zack, Tyler and Kingston.
The 3rd Jacob Dean, with one son Andrew.
The 2nd Marriage 96-98 Kelly Dietz. We moved to Depoe Bay in November 95.
She has three children, Ashley, Shanna and Mathew Dietz. They were a lot of fun. Good times.
The 3rd Marriage and last, 99 to present to Deborah Martin. She has been to all parts of the globe, both working and traveling. I think I have only visited 15 states and Canada, so ...Expand for more
far. She left the corporate world to do her own thing and loves it. She has a shop at the south end of Lincoln City named Sweet Bee Antiques. She opened it in 2003 and is doing well.
So, now I¿ve been with UPS for 29 years and could have retired the 1st of October this year but, not ready yet. In July of 2008, UPS created a satellite route for the north county, I took it. My commute went from 54 miles (to Newport) to 4.5 miles, round trip. I don¿t have to start until 10 am. I have all morning to do stuff, it¿s great. I like the job and the people. And I get paid to drive around in circles. LOL. My route is the North end of town, out to the corridor on Hwy 18. I deliver about 40,000 packages a year and drive 90 miles a day.
My Dad is doing well. After Mom died in 76, He remarried, Annette with a son, Brandon. Later they had Rich. Both brothers married and live in the area with children of their own and are doing well.
