Tim K.'s Story
"Most of my fellow Owls will probably remember me as a singer from MHS, and i did have a long run in the music business. I did the bar and night club scene a while but soon settled into theatre seat shows mostly at the Lake of the Ozarks. I did try my hand in Nashville a while as well and had a couple songs make the charts, but always returned to the family show atmosphere here in the Ozarks. I still entertain now and then but stopped playing 6 nights a week in '96. My wife Dorinda and i married in 1992. We had purchased Harris Custom Interiors, an interior design studio and 12,000 sq. ft. furniture store in Camdenton, MO in July of 1990. en, we raised a cockatiel named Stormy, a wire-haired dachshund named Louie, a long-haired dachshund named Polar Bear, and a dachshund-bichon mix named Toby. Stormy passed last May at age 32, Louie passed 1 month later at age 16, and Polar Bear, our baby, passed of auto-immune disease in September. That has been a hard one for me to get through. We spoil him rotten, as it should be. We also have many nieces and nephews that we enjoy spoiling when given the opportunity. So as we enter our 34th year at Harris Home Interiors, we thank God for our many blessings. He has been more than good to this much older Owl, who started out as a fairly poor farm boy from Marshall Junction. I refuse to stop fighting off the 'old man' chasing me. I know the Class of '81 has lost several of our classmates, but i hope to see many of you again at a future reunion. May God bless you all... "
