Tim's Story

Life Greetings! Well, I have now joined many of you in the "30-club". Can this be? Is it really THAT long ago since graduation? Anyways, still living here in northern CA working as a music therapist at the local state hospital. Not sure how much longer. I'm wearing thin of the bureaucracy, but still TRYING to be a positive influence and presence in the workplace. Hoping that SOMETHING new and fresh will come my way. It's hard being there sometimes. If you had told me in high school that I would one day work with criminally insane I would have thought YOU were insane. It's been rewarding still, but I am believing, praying, and ready for something new. I also work privately as a sub-contracted music therapist too. I especially enjoy using music with the elderly. They are a kick. I'm drawn more to settings where the clientele are verbal, though they may be delusional vs settings that are more developmental disability oriented. Music therapy is awesome though. atile. You can use it with virtually ANY population. I am still playing drums and percussion in my church, but that seems to be the extent of my performing these days. Hoping to find some time in my schedule to give private lessons. It's been way too long. Oddly enough though, I am playing more piano and guitar so that's cool and I feel that I am expanding myself as a musician. Dating an awesome woman of God, and hoping if it's meant to be, I will marry her perhaps in the next year. She's also a musician, and I enjoy educating her on all the OLD music she's not really that familiar with. She in turn educates me on all the churchy children's songs I missed out on in my youth. heh heh We both love to travel, so that's an instant match. Um...don't have much more news.
