Tim's Story
Oh my, I'm in my fifties!
I've had a peculiar life: went to seminary right after high school; came out of the closet and was a party boy during the 80s (thank God for bolos, brooches, shoulder pads and high hair), then entered a Benedictine monastery in Kansas. I was a monk for nearly nine years.
I left the abbey in December of 2006. I came back to Colorado, taught for a year at Pikes Peak Community College in the Springs, then relocated to the Denver area. It's good to be home....Expand for more
Besides being a monk, I have an MA in English/Creative Writing and an MFA in Writing.
I now work at the Credit Union of Denver as the IRA Specialist (which has nothing to do with my degrees, of course). I enjoy spending time at Dad's cabin in Wyoming and Mom has moved in with me: so family is important.
I loved my tenure as a monk and a professor. I'm very glad to be out of all that, too. Most of all, I'm happy.
