Tim's Story
Workplace
My work life has progressed nicely over the last 2 years. Throughout college and part of high school I worked summers managing a driving range and cart program at a local golf course in Deerfield. Of course, the course is no longer there. After studying Sports Medicine in college, I pursued a career in personal training at a health club in Deerfield, ironically a club built in the old clubhouse. I had many great and successful clients. During this same time period, I worked a double career. Also working in golf course consulting and construction. witt Associates in Lincolnshire. While I was successful and advanced nicely, the job was unfulfilling, so I decided to return to a field that truly interested me. In the spring of 2005, I returned to the golf management and consulting business working as an Assistant Manager at Foxford Hills in Cary, IL. Shortly thereafter, I moved on to manage a renovation of a 9 hole course in Richmond, IL. In the fall of 2005, I assumed the position of General Manager at Oak Grove Golf Course in Harvard, IL and in addition continued to manage both the operation and renovation project at Hunter CC in Richmond, IL. That's where I am to this day. My 'office' beats a corner office hands down.
