Tim's Story
Life
I thought when I retired and moved to Florida that I would really retire. Having enjoyed a wonderful career at Colonial Williamsburg where I played everything from a common thief to the Governor himself with my most favorite roles being; an Auctioneer where I sold goods from the colonial stores and managed to "sweet talk" hundreds of dollars out of the wallets of visitors and the role of the attorney in Cry Witch where we re-enacted the real trial of Grace Sherwood for witchcraft {trial was basis of Witchduck road in Norfolk area}.
Following my entry into widowhood I began a second career where I enjoyed my "tenure" at CNU from where I had received my BA in Theatre Arts, and co-created/designed and built The ShoeBox Theatre, an experimental blackbox performance space home to the ShoeBox Follies.
Sadly I retired from there prior to finishing my Masters in Social Work {headed for work in Adoption Search/Reunion Counseling} when I had a near fatal encounter with toxic mold {long before it became the disease du jour}
To aid in my recovery I moved to Florida to escape the cold bitter winters of the family farm in Gloucester {being a 1/2 mile from the nearest paved road turned a heavy snow into an enforced isolation {the last year being homebound for 8 days}
Settling into Florida was a dream indeed and I quickly found myself entrenched in the local community theatre The Moonlight Players Warehouse Theatre where I served as the Publicity Director and Chair of the Season Selection committee. Besides appearing in shows, some of which were The Rainmaker, Romeo and Juliet and Deathtrap.

ng's MISERY.
I am thankful for a great 10 years in warm and wonderful Florida and don't miss VA in the least.
I re-retired from The Moonlight Players Warehouse Theatre.
I now make great use of my down time by continuing my earliest addiction BOOKS ! ! ! I am currently trying to work my way thru the over 300 unread tomes that are piled all over the house. I also indulge myself in music of all genres as well as collecting antiques, collectibles and art works of all kinds {my favorites being those done by friends}
I also find myself still being occasionally called on to offer support and advice for those involved in a Search/Reunion situation. My own search, which led me not only to a large "family" in NC but a wonderful wild Big Brother who is the day to my night - we are so opposite and yet sooooo similar. I paid back my success by assisting others in search and have helped reunite countless Adoptees and BioFamilies and just recently heard from my most recent case that she herself has helped someone else connect to their BioMother and so my karma continues to grow.
School
I was on the Board of Directors of The Moonlight Players Warehouse Theatre and served as the Publicity Director and Chair of the Season Selection committee. Besides appearing in shows, I also directed Romeo and Juliet, GODSPELL, CAMELOT, OLIVER and Stephen King's MISERY to name a few.
But I have 'retired' again and now enjoy life doing nothing but expanding my mind in a variety of ways, books and theatrical entertainment of all sorts being a major draw.
Leaving the figid north for the Glorious Sun Drenched Center of Florid'a peninsula was one of the best decision we have ever made.
