Tim's Story
After graduating from High School, I attended the University of MT (1984-89), receiving my Bachelors Degree in Music Education. I then taught music (K-12 Band,Choir, and General Music) in Flaxville, MT for three years (1989-92). I then taught music in Power, MT, for one year (1992-93). Because of "politics" in the Power Public School System, I decided to quit teaching and go to culinary school.
I went home to live with my parents in Mandan, ND, for a year, working for a local bakery in Bismarck, ND, as a cake decorator and donut icer.
After ND, I moved to Portland, OR, to attend Western Culinary Institute, where I graduated with a Degree in Culinary Arts in 1995. To put myself through school, I took a job at The Old Spaghetti Factory in Portland. I worked at the Portland restaurant for a year before transferring to the Clackamas location. I was at the Old Spaghetti Factory Clackamas for 12 years, working as the Soups and Specials person. Because I didn't like where OSF was heading, and felt they were disrespecting their customers and employees, I could no longer work there.

k for Panera Bread in October of 2007 as a baker. I work the graveyard shift. That's where I am, and I haven't looked back.
To supplement my income, I also housesit/petsit. I have also had church jobs, playing piano for worship services. I am also the janitor at my own church.
What would surprise people at my high school reunion? I was a bit of a wall flower in high school. I was very shy and I didn't have very many friends. However, somewhere along the way, I turned into a very social person. I can still be shy when I feel like being so, but in general, I am a lot more outgoing. I have always been my own person, but as I've gotten older, I've become even more so. Has that happened to anyone else? When you turn 30 years old, things that seemed important when you were 20, suddenly don't seem so important. And when you turn 40...well...it's been a very freeing experience. I didn't get to know very many of you in high school. I was quiet...I was shy..But now, I regret that, and I hope to make up for lost time. I would love to hear from any of you who would like to correspond. Please feel free to do so.
