Tim's Story
Life
After high school I spent a year at DCC. When I found out they didn't take attendance I didn't attend. Joined the Air Force in the fall of 1975, they take attendance very seriously. I was stationed in Riverside, California for 2 1/2 year and followed up with 3 years in Italy(really tough assignments). I came back to DCC in 1981 and completed my AA in Communications. Moved to North Carolina upon graduation. I met my wife in Charlotte and we've been together 19 years. We have a daughter, almost 17, and a 14 year old son. The language has changed to lots of ya'll's, suh's and mam's. Foods gone from meatball heroes to grits and biscuits. We currently live on an island off the coast of North Carolina, a real small town life. I had been in the millwork industry for the past 17 years until I was laid off this spring. I am now joining my wife selling real estate. So anyone looking for a great investment in inexpensive beach property send me an email. I also design web pages. ay. Finally got off the couch and competed in my first triathlon in April 03, just finishing was a victory. Looking forward to the next one in June.
School
Can't say there were many good memories of high school. I enjoyed being on the football and track teams. Had a few good friends whom I've lost touch with over the years.
College
It took two trips to Duchess and then some to get a degree. First time through I didn't care, second time cared enough to finish. Made some big mistakes but I think I atoned for them. I do miss Rich and Danny. They made school worth while.
Workplace
Lots of jobs, lots of travel. Finally settled in selling real estate in Coastal Carolina. It's a great lift matching people with homes. The money is not bad also. Met some good people along the way.
Military
Texas, Southern California and Italy, really tough assignments. That was the best time of my young life. I worked with some of the best people I ever met. We spent some great time travelling throughout Europe. Joey, Kevin and I had some great times and saw so much.
