Tim's Story
Life
Hey - where do I start? Since Brainerd, I have been to college (NC) and got my BA, then my M.Div., then later my Th.D. Met my wife Kim in NC, started dating in 1976, and have been married since 1980. We have 2 great daughters (one born in 1985, one in 1988), we have 3 dogs, and we lived in Germany for 11 years. Now we call Athens, GA home and say, "GO DAWGS!" I am the Sr. Pastor at Life Church of Athens and do a lot of marriage and family counseling - and write a lot. Have not been back to Brainerd since 1975!!! College
First year at Mercer - too wild and I was too young! Roommate was a total introvert - not fun! Next year, commuted to UT-Chattanooga and saw lots of old HS friends - it was OK. 1976 - moved to NC, met Kim (my wife), transferred and finished my B.A. at UNC-Charlotte! NCAA FINAL FOUR in my last year! Great school - great fun - great courses, loved every minute of it!!! Finally - an awesome college experience! Finished in December 1977, but "walked" in Spring of 78. Barbara Walters spoke at graduation. LOVE UNCC!!!
