Timothy's Story

Timothy lives on an eleven hundred acre timber and cattle ranch adjacent to the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest somewhere in the wilds of Union County, Eastern Oregon. Timothy's formal education started at Washington Elementary, Van Wert, Ohio; Midland schools: Parkdale Elementary, Northeast Intermediate and Midland High School; Michigan State University with a baccalaureate in Biological Sciences and a master's in Zoology and The University of Michigan with a master’s in Library Science. Tim is married to Ann, an Eastern-Oregon-ranch-girl and large & small animal Veterinarian. Tim has two adult sons from his first wife who live in Florida. Tim has worked at: Self-employed: Salesman of sweet and pie cherries to his Van Wert, Ohio neighborhood sold out of his beloved express wagon; Caddied at the Midland Country Club although he earned considerably more as self-employed Card Shark playing Hearts (no other caddies apparently ever counted cards) while waiting for the first foursome who needed caddies to tee off; Continental Can, Midland: Assembly Line Manufacture of steel and fiber drums; Midland County Assessor’s Office: Contract Field Assessor and Aerial Map Analyzer; Warren’s Poplars, East Lansing: Waiter, Busboy, Cocktail Waiter and a few stints as Emergency Bartender of which the latter two were illegal employment; MSU Libraries: Circulation, Cataloging, Serials, Reference, Science Reference--Just about everything; Herpetology Labs, MSU: Snake and Turtle Care, Feeding and occasional Babysitting; ...Expand for more

All are shelter-adoptees and are well loved. Tim is training a six year old gelding paint, Cabo. Three of the cows, Bella, Baby Heifer, and Baby Bull were bottle fed and are looking suspiciously like pets instead of grass-fed organic beef.

Noah, a very sweet, loving golden.  I adopted him when they found a lipoma on his left hind left and is given nine months.  He will die in six but we shall have a good time for twenty three weeks.
