Tim's Story
I came to Germany back in 1980 with the Armed Forces, and I am still here. I retired from the Army Reserves and from my civilian position with Acosta Military International Inc. in January 2019. My wife and I bought a house in Twin Mountain, NH, in 2019 and currently travel back and forth between our home in Dornheim, Germany, and our home in Twin Mountain. Barb is still working as an intensive care nurse, so she currently only comes back in the fall. She loves the Foliage, and I must admit, so do I. I remember, as a kid, I just couldn't understand why people would travel such great distances to see dead leaves. I thought they were nuts; now I get it. I guess I'm just a slow learner. nd aging like cottage cheese, so we’ll see. We love both places and cannot imagine life without Germany or the White Mountains. Barb and I have been married since May 1983. We have two children (Mark and Theresa), one grandson (Lian), and one on the way.
I usually fly back for a couple of months in the winter (late January to late March) for snowmobiling. Unfortunately, I have had way too many shoulder and knee injuries, so skiing is out of the question. In any case, I have three snowmobiles, so if anyone wants to go out for a ride, give me a call. I am also normally back for a couple of months in the summer.
