Timothy's Story
College
A fantastic experience to remember.
Friends and faculty that saved my life as I slowly deteriorated with a brain tumor. Experiences with friends and faculty that I cherish. Wishes in many ways that I could go through it all again. Wishes that I was as close now to all those friends as I was then.
Opening day at Wrigley Field 1969 - an experience I cannot describe - any of you remember it?
Hopes that the next life is even better.
To those of you who promised to take out my next brain tumor - I hope you haven't retired before I get one - and super thanks for the offer. Tim

pread around the world.
I was about 5 years old when I got interested in Chemistry. At 7 I read "Chemistry Made Easy" and decided I was going to be a Chemist. Second semester of my Junior year in College, majoring in Chemistry, my brain started to slip. By the time I graduated from College I was accepted to Grad School at UC Berkeley, in Chemistry, for fall 1969. I couldn't do it - my brain wouldn't let me. A year later the brain tumor was removed and I was anxious to get to Grad School and "do it." At that time, that was my main reason for Grad School - to see if I could "do it." And I did. How much chemistry I have done since then? - Not Much - but I try to stay in touch.
