Timothy's Story
Life
I'm doing pretty much ok these days. Though I'm a computer guru by trade, my hearts ambition is actually professional acting. I've been involved in over thirty theatre productions over the years and I have a few short films, rock videos and commercials as credits.
I moved around a lot over the years, first with my parents (who separated in 1983), then on my own. It would almost take quantum math to calculate the amount of times, but it's up in the 70-80+ times!! After I married and my wife Melanie and I decided to have children, we purchased a house in Bradford, Ontario with the expectation of staying put. We'll see if that sticks (my friends REALLY hope so - we have lots of heavy German furniture and cases of beer only go so far in obtaining their help).
These days, my consulting practice is paying the bills. I'm doing the odd theatre production to whet my appetite, and between that and the ever important family time; I spend my free time reading, writing (though not as frequently as I should) and hanging out with a few friends - playing ...Expand for more
pool, consuming a few Guinness and singin' karaoke.
Health wise, well..I'm so so. After returning to York Region from a contract in Cambridge, I discovered my ability to walk was disappearing. I was shuffling around like Tim Conways character in the Carol Burnett show, and my doctors were very confused. Plenty of medications later, each with various degrees of success and failure; it was finally "determined" that I have an extremely agressive case of gouty arthritis. My knees are toast, and I won't be winning any marathons any time soon, but the right meds have returned my ability to walk normally. Good timing too, as it allows me to properly care for my son Nathaniel. I also had a shoulder problem pop up where I had no strength at all in my right arm, but that was surgically repaired in August 2006. Now my doctor thinks I may have some heart troubles (tests for that are forthcoming). Somedays it feels like I'm cursed and falling apart, but I make do and take it one day at a time.
