Timothy's Story
Life
My wife Cindy and I bought a house across from El Camino College Nov/2002 to 1) be near a campus for Chistian outreach, 2) be near my parents who still live in Rolling Hills, and 3) be 6.5 miles from work instead of 35.
We never had children of our own but have stayed active with kids and young people through church. I got a math degree from CSULB and have worked with Hughes Aircraft/Raytheon for over 25 years. When I drive to work I see the elementary school I went to in Hawthorne. When we go to the beach I see 1) the nursery school I attended in Manhattan Beach and 2) the coastline ending with the peninsula. I traveled to the Scandinavian countries quite often with my job and am looking forward to much more traveling after Raytheon.

me on a course to want to know the purpose of life. Now, roughly thirty years later, it's nice to be back in the home town area. If you care to compare notes or say hi please feel free.
Update (Feb/2011): I am now retired 2.5 years after working 27.5 years at Raytheon which purchased Hughes Aircraft in 1999). I worked on radar and GPS systems as a software engineer. I did a lot of traveling supporting the implementation of systems. I took early retirement at 55. My wife, Cindy, and I recently went to Japan to visit a student who attended El Camino college 2005-2006 and graduated from CSULB 2008 in business. We have other young people we met at ECC that we like to stay in touch with. I also have travelled to Norway the past two years (and will go with Cindy this year) to stay connected with many we know there.
