Hi there everyone! Its been forever it seems since I have seen anyone from school... so here are some little factoids about me and what I have been up to since my geeky days as a teen: Leaving the pacific northwest area in 1986, southern california bound, I landed in Santa Barbara California, a very beautiful, relaxed sun shine filled beach community. Other life experiences and work opportunities brought me further south to los angeles county area (2 hours south). I had always loved the arts and entertainment industry, I then was hired and took on a new career in 1987 at the Walt Disney Studios/Motion Pictures Division, based out of Burbank, California. Working in the pre and post production of animation and live action films... it was quite fun and a very exciting time working there. Having a family and other aspirations took a front seat years later, so I left Disney in 1993 to pursue those goals. Entertainment industry kept calling, although different this time and very good part time hours, I worked on various on-screen made for TV movies, other TV/Film/haircare and skincare Commercial work which lead me into a union membership with the Screen Actors Guild. Now, presently 2009.... I am a Proud Mom of 3 teenage children, a daughter and 2 sons. I live in a beach community in southern California, another very relaxing beach living away from the hustle-bustle of the busy city, but still close enough where there's lots to do... best of both worlds. I enjoy my first love that had always been a calling to me since I was a little girl - Writing! ...being an inspirational/poetic narrative writer, have since published a book in a small venue with some fellow inspirational writers, I have also exhibited some of my poetic artwork on canvas at some local southern california museums for special exhibitions, women's studies programs, and charity fund raisers to help support women whom have escaped a battered home situation, sculpting new lives for themselves. This is a very exciting Passion and Mission of mine, for these women are a true inspiration in themselves, just in their mere existence that they are here to share their inspirationa...Expand for more
