Tina's Story
Ok I don't update this anywhere near as much as I should, LOL.
My twins just graduated high school...CONGRATS TO THEM!!!
My other children have been growing by leaps and bounds as well. Felicia is going into 7th grade and looking forward to robotics and competitions.
Jaxson is going into 6th grade and really looking forward to being in Science Olympics like Felicia was this past year.
It's summer time so no matter how much I give them, they are still fighting and driving me up the wall, LOL>
Lilly is almost 3 1/2 years old now and our biggest goal is potty training with her and curbing her aggression....
Lets see...Mike is away at school until the end of September then he will be back for a bit prior to deploying over seas.
As far as Mike and I...we just celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary on Midsummer (June 21st), sadly he was in Ft. Sill...but it's a day and we can always celebrate it when he gets back.
I am still working as DRE at the UU community and really enjoying it. This week I have been perfecting my skills as a plumber...not my idea of fun.
But other then that, not a whole heck of a lot is going on here. It's summer and it is HOT here, so we go swimming and try to take advantage of having fun times together...
My how time flies....
I haven't updated this since Lilly was 7 1/2 months old....she's now 23 months old. OOPS!!
Life is very active right now & the days seem to blur together & all at once it seems the weekend is over with and the blur starts again!
Felicia & Jaxson have made the Principal's Honor roll for the 1st 9 weeks & we should be getting their grades soon. XMas vacation is starting today so that is going to be interesting. This is such a busy time of year for us.
With my taking over as editor for our community's newsletter starting back in November, it has been even busier. But it reminds ya that if you don't try to keep up, you will be run over!
Lilly's favorite word right now is NO...everything she is asked, the answer is no. Too funny!
Felicia is in orchestra this year & they had their first concert/recital on Tuesday Dec. 16th.
Jax is Jax....moody, encouragable, amazing. Must get it from his father.
Mike has had an extremely busy year. Back earlier this year, he was promoted to SFC (Sergeant First Class, E7) and then last month on his birthday (Nov. 21st) ...Expand for more
he found out he has FINALLY been selected to become a Warrant Officer!!!!
We don't have a date on when he is going to be going to school, but we should within the next 2 months. The Army only has 3 months to get him his class date. Unfortunately, from what he found out, is that ALL classes are full for fiscal year 2009! HOW CRAPPY!!
But he could still go earlier if someone ends up not going. But the last time Mike was promoted before this year was back in 2000!!! It has been a really good year, so that has really been a blessing.
Now the Army is doing the whole brigade shuffle & there is no telling if we will still be here or not next year. We have been here since 1997, so that whole NOT knowing, really can be stressful.
If he stays in his current unit until his Warrant school comes through, he will be reassigned to Ft. Sill, which is about 11 hours from El Paso. But if he gets to go to school early, then he will go to the first school which is about 4 weeks long & then the actual ADA Warrant School is still here in El Paso until they finish the construction work in Ft. Sill. So this coming year should be intersting.
The biggest thing is that we have a mortgage and not knowing what the future holds, really puts things in a more stressful environment. PLUS a friend of mine that put their house up for sale back in June still hasn't sold their house. But they also refuse to rent it out. They also have been here the same amount of time that we have & they have been reassigned to Ft. Sill.
So we shall see.....
I will write more another time, but below is what I haven't deleted yet, LOL.
Mike & I are also on MySpace with the id's Tinamiya & wed2nangel. Mike only checks his once in a GREAT while, so if you need to get ahold of him don't expect a quick reply.
Have a great school year everyone!!!
Military
Me military? Nope not me, LOL. I am not actually "in" the military, but I am married to it. Well Mike is military and about to reach 15 yrs. We are currently stationed in El Paso at Ft. Bliss. We have been here since 1997 and he has been deployed overseas various times & just got back from Korea in May 2006.
Mike is currently working in the Academics area tracking student grades as well as conducting graduations...this is for the students graduating from AIT (next step after boot camp).
