Tina's Story
ince graduating Ossining High in 1969, I attended an all girls college for a year (before they closed down) and mangaged to live in the Boys's dorm of a neighboring college! I worked at the Riverboat night club in the Empire State Building and NO it is not a stip joint! hahahah
I lived next to Attica Prison during the big riot and that was quite an experience. Had fun driving all the police crazy with my needing to come and go from the area (was workining with harness racers so had a wild schedule.
Joined the Marines.....OMG can you image just how dumb I was? But I did survive it, including the gas chamber and the rifle range. LOL Went to school in CA and was trained to be a cryptographer (super spy code breaker- such a useful skill when I got out) Spent my tour of duty and several years after leaving the Corps in Hawaii. Great duty station!
Foolishly fell in love with a man from Ohio (he was going to grad school there)and ended up in NC--- ugh! No comparison. Adopted 2 teens (many years apart) and had a son and a daughter too. Everyone is grown and...Expand for more
on their own. Two daughters are giving me grand children! One has 4 (newest one is only a month old) and the other is due this jan.
I am the ultimate grandma......... love every minute of it.
I have spent the last 18 years at the state mental hospital in Raleigh, NC. Escaped there after about 10 years in the public schools and do not have any desire to leave. Oh, should I mention that I am a teacher or just leave you to wondering? Think this is all I feel up to sharing right now.....don't want to overwhelm anyone other to mention that I an a avid Kayaker, addicted to books on tape/cd and computer games *which is why I am leaving now.....to play some cards! LOl Have a great one and remember... laugh therapy does miracles!Hi to all
Just a later thought......I love listening to ENYA( anythings she has made) and my personal favorite song is "Truly,Deeply, Madly" by Savage Garden. It says allhow I feel about my Love. Incendenatlly.............I am still hoping someone knows where to find Linda and Billy Bolt. Hate that we have lost touch. Hugs to all. Tina
