ince graduating Ossining High in 1969, I attended an all girls college for a year (before they closed down) and mangaged to live in the Boys's dorm of a neighboring college! I worked at the Riverboat night club in the Empire State Building and NO it is not a stip joint! hahahah I lived next to Attica Prison during the big riot and that was quite an experience. Had fun driving all the police crazy with my needing to come and go from the area (was workining with harness racers so had a wild schedule. Joined the Marines.....OMG can you image just how dumb I was? But I did survive it, including the gas chamber and the rifle range. LOL Went to school in CA and was trained to be a cryptographer (super spy code breaker- such a useful skill when I got out) Spent my tour of duty and several years after leaving the Corps in Hawaii. Great duty station! Foolishly fell in love with a man from Ohio (he was going to grad school there)and ended up in NC--- ugh! No comparison.
