Tina Lee's Story

Life I grow up in West Springfield and Feeding Hills. I'm the 4th child of 6. I have 4 brothers(3 older 1 younger) and 1 sister who is younger then me. Where I lived in West Side was so much fun. We lived off of Riverdale Rd., there were only 5 houses in our little neighborhood.(there is an Apartment complex there as well but no kids.) 1 house was on Riverdale, our house was on Marion St. and our house was the only one on the street. Then there is Elizabeth St. which runs off of Marion St. 3 of the homes are on Elizabeth St. 4 of the families had kids and all total there were 13 kids and we were pretty close in age. Then in 1985 we moved to Feeding Hills and lived in my Nana's house. Which is also the one my Dad had grown up in. I enjoyed living in both places as a kid. Now we jump ahead a few years. I met Shawn in July of 1998 and we started dating in February of 1999. We got married on March 31,2001. My life has not been the same since we first met. I have 2 beautiful daughters, Kayla will be 9 on May 12th, Shannon turned 6 on Feb. 22nd. Kayla is almost done with the third grade. She really likes her teacher and has made new friends. I have posted her new school picture on here. Shannon is almost done with her first year of school. They both love school and I can't believe the school year is almost over. I'm a full time stay at home Mom and I couldn't be happier. This is the hardest job I will ever have. My girls are the best joy I have in my life. I lived in Middlefield, MA from 9/99 until 11/05 and now we are back here in Feeding Hills. We are still living in a small apartment, I was hoping to be in a house by now but the funds just aren't there. So hopefully soon something will come through and I'll get my house. (See the last paragraph for an update on my living arrangements.) Things for me have changed so much since High School. I did have my "wild" years where I would go clubbing alot with friends. Of course I've never done anything illegal then or now...LOL!!!! But I have put all those days far behind me and all I do now is anything and everything for my girls to have a happy life. I have had my share of heartaches and 2 tragic losses to my family both happening in 2001. First one was my 6 year old nephew, he had very suddenly gotten sick and started to have a seizure at school. He was brought to the ER and was admitted into Baystate's Childrens Hospital in May of 2001 and the Doctors had to put him into a drug indused coma to help stop the seizures. But after 4 months of being in the PICU and hooked to all kinds of tubes and wires and test after test, Mathew's body...Expand for more
started to shut down and he passed away on August 24,2001. The second was the very sudden and very tragic death of my second oldest brother Jeff, Mathew's father by the way. He was killed on the Mass Turnpike in a drunk driving accident. His truck flipped over many times and he was ejected from it. That was on October 17,2001 he was 34 years old, he was one week shy of his 35th birthday. So knock on wood there have been no more major tragic thing to happen to my family. So take care and hope you enjoyed reading this.... I do need to add that I got my very first tattoo on the night of Feb. 20,2007...I hope some of you remember Dave Manning, well we are still friends and he's the one who did my tattoo. OMFG!!!!! He did an awesome job, I love it sooooooooo much!!!!!! I have a purple rose in full bloom with a ribbon around the stem with my girls names in the ribbon. It is located right above my right ankle. THANK YOU DAVID YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!! **New update as of Nov. 25, 2007. I will finally be getting out of this tiny Apartment. We will be moving back in with my parents. They have asked us to rent out the 3 bedrooms on the second floor. It will help us out to save some money and help them with their bills. I am very happy as are my daughters. So with fingers crossed we will be back in there before Christmas. School As I said in my story, I moved to Agawam/Feeding Hills in 1985 from West Side. I started at Agawam High in October of 1985, I was in tenth grade. What a major difference between West Side High and Agawam High. In West Side the school had classrooms on two floors but had three levels. At Agawam it was so strange not to have to walk up stairs to change classes,or go to your locker. Which usually was on the other side of the school from you next class. I was also in the Marching Band/ Colorguard in West Side and in Agawam. I was at West Side High for my freshman year and for the first month and a half of tenth grade. I really enjoyed my three years at Agawam. Mostly because of the friends I made in Marching Band/ Colorguard. Thank you for all the memories. I would truly enjoy having a reunion with all the Marching Band and Colorguard members that took part in from 1986-1988. I truly miss seeing and talking to the friends I made at Agawam High.. Workplace The jobs I had after graduating truly sucked. The only nice part was the paycheck every week. The job I enjoyed the most was bein a nanny for a friend down in Flordia. I lived down there for a whole summer. My most current job is by far the hardest and most enjoyable. I am a Full-time MOMMY and love every mintue of it.
