Life
Life is cool, I have three great children which means I could always use more patience, but since they love me, I must be doing alright.
My family is healthy and that's all that counts
School
I left Kenwood and went to Kenwood Part 2 - also known as U of I... Stayed there for two years met lots of cool people before I got very sick (ulcers, strep, pneumonia) (ugh - I now hate needles)and came back home. Stayed home to get healthy and then went back for a year then came home to finish out at Chicago State. Yeah - that's school for you.
Workplace
Work... Since I like to eat and have to clothe and feed my kids, this is a necessary evil, but I enjoy it...
After/While finishing school, I worked in HR. First at a non-profit organization and then at a business to business publications company. After being affected...Expand for more
by a reduction in Staff (RIF - a fancy way for the company to say we are laying off a whole bunch of you!!) I went to work at a real estate company as the Business Manager. That was a blast... I stayed there for 2 years and then moved to a commercial real estate company - Atlas Partners (Commercial Brokerage) that specializes in advising companies on what to do with their real estate properties (AP)and also helping clients rent, lease, buy, or sell other properties. After realizing that commercial real estate is WAY MORE cut throat, I moved to residential. I now work at Supreme Manor Realty and am loving it! Which is kind of cool, because I have since run into lots of people from Kenwood.
Since leaving RE full-time I have been doing Research at Rush University, which is great and what also prompted me to return to school.
