Tish's Story
Life
I'm happily, blissfully married to another Alhambra grad; my first sweetie, my first kiss. He was even my first movie date at the old State Theater. He took me to school on my first day at Alhambra. He graduated in 68. We've been back together since June of 2001. We are running the appraisal office and taking care of the rental properties, from Antioch, CA to Antioch, TN. There are several in between. Dennis Gill is a full time job.
I have one child, Brooke, a recent mortgage company debacle refugee, but count my son-in-law, David Vance, a firefighter with East Bay Regional Parks, as my kid too. They have produced two of the brightest lights of my life, Noelle Ashlee, 13 (eighth grader at St. Catherine's) and Sean Austin, 8, a December born 3nd grader. They spend a lot of time scaring heck out of "G-Ma T" on their dirtbikes!
I spent 18 years in the Pinole-El Sobrante area while raising my daughter, but she married a Martinez boy and is raising her children there. I'm so glad. It's a great place for that. I live in Oakley with my sweetie, and have become quite the farmer - plums, apricots, tomatoes, lemons, limes, avocados, tons o' basil, sage, oregano, rosemary, thyme and even a few grapevines. 12 to be exact. Have even had some success with ro...Expand for more

We enjoy showing our antique motorcycles at various meets around the state and are members of the Diablo A's Model A Club. We also are members of Norcal SSR Club, where we road trip monthly in BigRed - my big, red, 6 litre V-8 toy. 395 horses! She had me from "Vroom".
We also love spending days and days and days out on "Hope Floats", berthed on "The Delta Loop". She's 33 ft long and has all the comforts of home. She can be too comfortable. Sometimes I actually feel too lazy to throw a line in the water. Too lazy to fish? That's a whole new kind of lazy.
It's so peaceful out here on the "morning side" of Mt. Diablo.
Workplace
Right now I'm watching my lemons grow, feeding the pets, cooking three squares a day, doing laundry and spoiling Dennis silly. Over the last few years, cooking and food & wine pairing have become my passions. It's like yoga to me.
I'm no longer accounting/auditing, so most of the time I'm doing appraisal business work, handling the rental properties or just enjoying my life.
The best part is that we've worked it out so we can work from anywhere - out on the boat, at our condo in Vegas, traveling through Tennessee, literally anywhere. The four "on the ground" interns, digital photography and the internet make it possible.
