Toby's Story

Life So life goes on. My son moved to Virginia this summer where we have relatives. His children are settled and doing lots of sports for 4 and 7. Still in Bowling Green. Would love to retire in Florida but don’t think that would happen. BG is an interesting community. Lots of people retire here. We have the Corvette Museum with the sinkhole and the plant. Caves and a minor league baseball team. So, great place for your next trip! I am southern so I fit in well. I graduated George Washington High School 1967. I attended Washington Univ, St. Louis and graduated from the School of Occupational Therapy in 1971. I met my husband, John, who was attending medical school and we married in 1971. We now live in Bowling Green, Ky where we raised a son and daughter. We now have a grandson born 6/7/06 and a grandaughter born May, 2011. Our son and his wife have a baby boy born 6/2012. They now have a second son born 5/2015. I have a private pediatric practice and my husband is an anesthesiologist. John passed away 12/1/2...Expand for more
011 following a long battle with colon cancer. Having lost both parents by 1973, I rarely returned to Phila. We have always had pets and have shown a King Charles Spaniel. We travel and enjoy a variety of hobbies. I do write and I have had several professional publications. Age has only helped with the enjoyment of life. We moved to Philadelphia when I was in 10th grade. I was shy and my family was struggling so I know people would not remember me. I have the Southern accent that brought on a lot of teasing. I was in the band and that was my comfort zone. My father died in 1965 and my goal was to leave the city for college and I did. Now I can think about those years and remember the good times. Our introduction to the school was the guidance counselor who said the three of us would be retained because we were from the South and the schools were not the "quality" of George Washington. We were tested and to their surprise (not ours) we were at grade level and I graduated with honors! All college educated.

Good hit
Let the dogs outside after strong winds and rain. Looked up to see a rainbow at 8pm. There was so much light and now the clouds are moving back. Got the flashlights ready!
Friday night entertainment in a covered parking lot instead of the park due to weather!

John collected Steins. Most have been boxed for over 6 years. This weekend I decided I was ready to bring them out for display. They will be in a glass cabinet. Since my family name is Stein, this is appropriate for my hous

Hilo took a walk and did an amazing thing. He got on the sofa. Now let’s see if he can get down! He looks sleepy.
Miracle of the day. Hilo jumped on the sofa for the first time ever. Now he’s napping and Benji does not like Hilo on “his” sofa!
