Todd's Story
Life
After leaving school in 1992, I went to Northlands Job Corps in Vergennes Vermont. I completed the Autobody program in Febuary of 94 and moved to Plattsburgh NY. My daughter Cheyenne was born in August of 1994.
Following the good paying jobs, I moved to Houston TX in 95, then to Miami FL in 96. I made the mistake of leaving Miami in 1997 on a 90 degree day and arrived in Portsmouth NH where it was 20 below zero.
I've lived in NH since and now reside in Manchester NH where I just finished schooling again, this time to be a Medical Assistant. I work at a doctors office in Nashua helping patients with Kindey disorders.
I am a single father who's main interest is ensuring my daughter doesn't make the same mistakes I have in life. She is an "A" student who enjoys school and is looking forward to starting the 6th grade next year.
I plan to return to school in the fall at the University of New Hampshire in Manchester. It's ironic how I tried to get away from school my whole life only to realize if you don't get an education you don't get paid. I guess it's better late than never!!
School
Alot of things happened in my life after the 10th grade. I decided that if I was going to get anywhere in life I needed to get out of Ticonderoga. I spent the summer thinking o...Expand for more
f options and wasn't living with either of my parents who had split up in 91. (thank you to the LaRoses and Fullers for letting me stay with them)
I tried to make a go of it in the 11th grade but after about 2 weeks decided to goto Job Corps in Vegennes Vt. Mr Lapierre helped me with alot and for that I am always greatful.
My last day of school I returned all my books and said my goodbyes and that's pretty much the last I've heard from anyone in the class of 94.
College
While at Job Corps I lived in dorm 24. Nicknamed "the ghetto dorm" where they scared the crap out of me on a daily basis. I moved into the Honor Dorm after a month and continued on to become the Auto body shop foreman. I was only there for 10 months but it's ten months of my life I will never forget.
Workplace
You name it I've done it. From Autobody to store clerk, electrician, plumber, heavy equiptment operation, CNC programmer.
After completing school in Febuary of 2005, I was a Medical Assistant and enjoyed working in a doctors office.
Now I work for Southern NH Services, helping people with Heat and electric bills.
Military
Never served, but I respect everyone who has ever served in any branch of the Armed Forces. I would like to thank each and every one of you for making this country safe.
