Todd's Story

Well I hope this finds all who read it healthy, happy and enjoying life. I am Married to Christine and we have been married for almost 7 years. We met in '98 through a mutual friend (Bruce Mckinney, Florida College '91) and started dating on her birthday in Feb. '99. It's been a great ten years together. When we met, Christine was teaching Ballet, Modern, Jazz, and other types of dance and aerobics. Since the two boys came along she is the CEO/CFO/President of the Angel household. We have two sons, Caleb (5) and Truman (3). We currently live in Minneola,FL and Caleb will start at MES in August. For most of the past twenty years I have been doing some kind of Firefighting. I got my start as a Prescribed Fire Manager for the Florida Park Service, The Nature Conservancy, and through those contacts became a Helitack Firefighter for the US Forest Service on the Gila National Forest in New Mexico in '94. nd graduated in November. I was hired by the Seminole County Fire Department in the summer of '96. In '97 I became a member of the Special Hazards and Operations Team. I served with the SHOT for 4 1/2 of the 5 1/2 years I was employed by SCFD before getting hired by Orlando. I am currently a Fireman with the City of Orlando Fire Department and am assigned to Heavy Rescue 1. I am also a Rescue Squad Officer with the Central Florida Urban Search and Rescue Task Force (FLTF-4). Additionally, I am the Urban Search and Rescue Program Manager for the Lake Tech Fire Academy in Tavares where I serve as a Master Instructor in the discplines of High Angle Rope Rescue and Confined Spaces Rescue. When not doing something revolving around the Fire Service, I love to fish saltwater and my passion is flyfishing for Snook, Tarpon and Redfish.
