Life Well after I left Patrick Henry , 12th grade was a blast , at Wright Brothers Career High . Found out that i was not the only transfer to this little school, 47th & Equlid,( nice neighborhood) ! well there was Chris Genton, Blaine Howerton, and Mark Currier, well Patrick Henry San Carlos Rowdy's were all together from Forward Elementary to Wright Brothers Career, what a trip the first day was when we all seen each other. well we knew that this was going to be one hell of a year ! well me and Chris Genton took Building Trades , the first 4 classes of the day were out in San Diego, building houses , sheds, driveways, and what ever else they wanted built. so when I graduated , went to work for an contractor to build a tri level house and two story guest house in the back yard, over looking UCSD. and I-5 in La Jolla. then went to work for the U.S. Army Reserves, basic training was so cold . got there the day we invaded Granada, 10-25-83 all we heard was that we will be going to war so it was a trip to be in basic when the country went to war. we took the test to graduate in 32 degrees below zero , wind chill 95 below (how i missed San Diego) as i thought , i would not ever want to see Missouri again . send me back to San Diego for good , well two weeks later they sent me back there for 5 weeks of school , and watched the temp drop even farther, so i was freezing to death, knew that it was almost over, back to my beach town for good, spent 3 1/2 years in the Army Reserves, in San Diego, while working for Handyman, made it all the way to Warehouse Asst Manager, before they went out of business, so i went active duty in the U. S . Army, they sent me to Fort Riley , Ks. ( back to the cold weather) and hot summers from hell with the humidity on top of it all. spent 23 months there , met a guy from North Plate , he took me home with him on Christmas of 83 , i met an 16 year old honey , and i mean honey , well for the next 23 months every weekend i would drive 350 miles one way to see her , but when it came time to change duty stations , she tried to make me marry her , well her mom wanted me to take her with me , i don't think so , that is were the west coast living (way of life ) is different from the mid-west , they find out your from the west they force them self's on you for a better living, (small town...Expand for more
