Todd's Story
After H.S. graduation I migrated to UCSD. I lived all over North San Diego county for the next 5 years and had the time of my life. Having no idea what to do with my life, I drifted for a few years including a stint in San Francisco where my old buddy Frank Moore was working on a business degree.
Ultimately I ended up in Redlands again and, on a whim, I took a job as a substitute teacher. I was hooked. I got my teaching credential at night from the University of Redlands while subbing during the day. I got a job at Cope Junior High teaching 7th and 8th grade math and science just as I was finishing at U of R. The princip...Expand for more
al made me promise to hang around for at least 3 years. That was 20 years ago. I've been through 4 principals and 6 assistant principals. My current principal is a former student!
In 1993 I reconnected with an old childhood sweetheart who was living in Tulsa, OK. After I saw her again (it had been 17 years), I said, 'I've got to marry this girl!" We got married in June, 1994 on Windansea Beach in La Jolla. She owns a dance studio and teaches tap, jazz, ballet and pointe. We don't have kids, but we do have a couple of troublesome cats.
