Todd's Story
Hi! I'm still teaching Band...this is my 40th year. (maybe I'll get it right someday?)
I teach underpriviledged middle school kids in Dallas, TX and conduct an adult community Band (Oak Lawn Band - check out OaklawnBand.com) Between that, volunteering with Big Thought to ensure quality Fine Arts programs to the kids of Dallas (bigthought.org), teaching guitar with "Little Kids Rock" (check out littlekidsrock.org)
and spoiling the 8 grandkids ...Expand for more
(6 are here in Dallas), I try to stay involved. I'm leaving for China in december as part of an Music Education delegation with People to People. I'll fill you in when I get back.
BTW: My son Derek's band Dripping Springs HS won the 2009 Texas 4A Marching Band Championship! That's HUGE in Texas...(lot's of unbelievebable band programs here).
