Tom's Story
Life
After Roosevelt I attended American University from 1939 until I entered the Army in Feb 1943. After touring England and France I returned to AU in Feb 1946 and graduated that June. In October that year I was married, and we'll celebrate our 60th anniversary this October. We have four children, nine grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. After graduation I was in AU graduate school for a year, then in the University of North Caroline grad school for about four years. wed by employment by the National Science Foundation. I retired from the Energy Research and Development Administration in 1976, and we moved to Virginia Beach, where we remain.
School
My life at Roosevelt was remarkably undistinguished, academically or otherwise. I was not in sports nor too often in the office of the Principal (Mrs Bradshaw). Miss Ross was my home room teacher and the one I remember best. One highlight I recall was participating in a production of "Trial by Jury." As a member of the jury, I claim to have had a title role.
