Tom's Story

Life In 1996, I suffered a cerebral hemorrhage resulting from an Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) next to my brain stem. Following an extensive surgery and long period of recovery and rehabilitation, I am doing fairly well, although I have a short-term memory impairment and some weakness on my left side. ramming, Spanish, and French (among other things) for three years. I then spent my fourth year working in Madrid, Spain. I then attended Michigan State University where I earned my Master's degree in Computer Science. I am now working for the University. Workplace I'm currently working in survey research at Michigan State University's Institute for Public Policy and Social Research.
