Tom's Story
Life
1967 after graduating from Paterson State moved to San Antonio, Texas and was on staff at Wilford Hall Medical Center. 1975 moved to Comfort, Texas (where still live) as Laboratory Director of Comfort Community Hospital. 1979 went to work at the Blood Bank of the Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital in Kerrville, Texas from which retired in 2006. 1982 MS in Health Services Administration from Columbia Pacific University. tors of the Texas Society for Medical Technology and the technical advisory committee of the South Texas Regional Blood Bank. Have represented the U.S. at international meetings in Scotland, Holland, Sweden, South Africa, Australia, and Japan. At the meeting in Japan was presented to the Emperor. Have received the ASMT Omicron Sigma award for "outstanding service" to the profession of medical technology. Also a member of the Order of Saint Luke and Mensa.
