Tom's Story
I married my high school sweetheart and we're still very happily together. We have three children, though we are empty nesters now. We live in Redlands, California, travel a lot and still maintain close connections with family in Idaho.
After high school, I went into archaeology in college and for several years thereafter. While working in Australia with Aborigines, I felt I needed to get into a field where I could make more of a difference in the communities/countries where I worked. So I went back to school (Thunderbird/Arizona) and focused on economic development. That took me through some great adventures, mostly based out of Seattle. In 85, I expanded into community development and strategic planning, going to school at UW. I had my own consulting firm from 1985 to 2007. My family and I lived in Hawaii during part of that time, on the Big Island. It was a wonderful experience. I returned to Seattle for five years to collaborate with a large architecture and planning firm downtown. It was another great experience. o in California. We live in Redlands. I'm engaged in a wide range of planning across much of the southern part of the state. I have a team of about 140 people now from many land use specialty areas. I've been a good tourist here and continue to discover great places to visit in the region - most recently, Santa Catalina Island.
I am looking for old Army Brat friends, so please drop a note if you recognize me. I've been back to France to Chinon and Brienne/Vitry several times.
